Permanent and Temporary Exhibits
We present new exhibits continuously throughout the year at the museum. The area's large wood carving community provides something for everyone's interest at the museum. With over 300 carvings, the museum exhibits a variety of themes such as wildlife, relief carvings depicting cultural, social and economic history, larger-than-life wood sculptures, three dimensional carvings and much more. Guest artists from outside the county provide unique carvings for special exhibits and events.
Permanent Exhibits
The Millennium Project: presents relief carving commemorating some of the most important individuals of the past century in Windsor and the Essex County region.
The French Connection: is a series of sculpture, relief and instruments depicting the lifestyle of French-Canada in the early 19th century.
Chief Tecumseh: was a famous Native American leader of the Shawnee. He spent much of his life attempting to rally various Native American tribes in a mutual defence of their lands, which eventually led to his death in the War of 1812. Tecumseh was sculpted by Neil Z. Cox.
