Calling all Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of this museum. We greatly appreciate all the time they spend helping us make this one-of-a-kind museum the best it can be. If you have some free time that you would like to donate to a very worthy cause, we would love to have you join our volunteer team. You don’t have to be a carver. We have many volunteers who just love helping us out and contribute in many ways to making things run smoothly.
People of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds volunteer here at the museum with us. Fill out our online volunteer form, call, e-mail or drop in to find out how you can become part of our great volunteer team.
Community Hours for High School Students
As stated in Ontario Secondary Schools, Grades 9 to 12: Program and Diploma Requirements, 1999 (OSS), every student who begins secondary school during or after the 1999–2000 school year must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities as part of the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The purpose of the community involvement requirement is to encourage students to develop awareness and understanding of civic responsibility and of the role they can play and the contributions they can make in supporting and strengthening their communities. The Windsor Wood Carving Museum is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications from students who need an acceptable community facility to complete their 40 hours of community involvement activities as part of the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Applications are available by applying in person at the museum.
· The Windsor Wood Carving Museum prefers to accept volunteers who will complete their entire 40 hour requirement at the museum.
